Josiah Adams & sons registered their mark at the Birmingham assay office sometime around 1776.  Sugar tongs by this maker are rare.  This pair is a lovely pair of cast tongs, quite short at just 4¾ inches long, with a nice engraved flower pattern to the shoulders.
