This pair of tongs is a lovely early pair of tongs, dated 1782/83 with the early maker's mark. They are flared and bright cut tongs with trailing buds at the bottoms of the arms and a shell or flower motif at the top. They have a bright cut feather edge and acorn style bowls. Sadly there is a repair to the shoulder but this is well done & only just noticeable.
