Antique Georgian silver sugar tongs

Ann Robertson was the widow of John Robertson I who died in 1801.  She worked between 1801 and 1811 when she handed the business over to John Robertson II – her nephew.  Ann Robertson sugar tongs are quite rare.  This pair is completely plain with a concave shaped bow.  The hallmarks are struck alongside the maker’s mark rather than on the opposite arm.
