tongs are a delightful pair of bright cut feather edge tongs with a lovely
tear-drop shaped bowl. The Perth mark is very clear. The maker’s mark is
in a rectangular punch which will mean that the tongs will be dated after
1812. Also the town mark is clearly the Eagle with only one head. I would
therefore estimate these tongs to be dated between 1815 and 1820. Click on any picture to enlarge |
