Jonathan Millidge was an Edinburgh registered silver-smith working around 1820 to 1832. These are a lovely "Albert" pattern pair of tongs, with the variation that the bowls have the shell shape cast to one side rather than symmetrically. They are also distinguished by the delightful monogram of (probably) an Eagle with a key in its beak. They are dated 1814 - some 6 years before he is supposed to have been working?
