Antique Georgian silver sugar tongs

These tongs are lovely flared, bright cut tongs.  There are several features about these tongs that are similar on all three pairs of tongs. This is highly unusual in itself as it is rare to be able to detect a maker from the style of the tongs.

The inward flare of the tongs is very close to the bow.

The bowls are leaf cut patterned

The bright cut pattern is unusual and has a bright cut edging and distinctive "crescent" shapes engraved on the arms
