John Faux registered his first mark alone on 6^th May 1763 as a small-worker and another on 6^th September.  He then entered a mark with George Love on 11^th May 1764.  He then entered four marks as a buckle-maker between 1773 and 1784.  These marks were in script form.  These tongs have the script maker’s mark, dating them between 1773 and 1784.
