These tongs have a lovely feather edge to them.  Although I have dated them as c1780, they are not bright cut and could therefore be dated a little earlier.  They are engraved with an "Adam" style flower pattern.  This pair of tongs are very similar to another pair shown here, even though this pair do not have a shaped bow.  They are marked in the bowls.  The maker's mark is clearly identical on these two pairs of tongs.
