This is a pair of bright cut tongs with straight sides. They have an oval bowl and a marriage or betrothal monogram. These tongs are marked in the bowls with the Lion and maker's marks only. This therefore dates them to between 20th November and 1st December 1784. The maker's mark appears to be in an oval cartouche which is different yet again from the other two pairs. The mark also seems to have been overstruck over another maker's mark.
