This is a lovely example of early bright cut "Adam" style tongs with a beaded edge & heavy engraved bowls These tongs will be dated between 29th May 1786 and 12th September 1786. We can be this accurate because of the cameo duty mark, introduced on 29th May 1786. Unfortunately they have suffered with damage to the bow.
