This is an unusual shaped pair of fiddle pattern tongs.  By this time, Fiddle pattern was starting to become a commonly used shape.  This pair have a semi-circular shape cut out of the sides of each of the arms.  I have not seen this style on any other tongs.  I guess there was a little experimentation being tried out - and why not?  The monogram is engraved to the inside of one of the arms.
