These tongs are dated at around 1775. They are of a very unusual style with no piercings to the arms & the lovely pattern of circles. Common with many of these cast sugar tongs, they have the engraved Adam style stylised leaf pattern at the top of the arms. They have no repairs, making them of particularly high quality, especially looking at how thin the bottom part of the arms is. A very fine pair of antique Georgian cast silver sugar tongs.
