Thomas Evans registered his first mark on 11^th March 1774 as a spoon-maker.  He may well have had other, earlier marks that were in the missing register.  His latest mark was entered on 11^th November 1792.  All of the Thomas Evans tongs that I have seen are marked in the bowls with one exception.  The exception is the pair with the incuse duty mark of 1784 to 1786.
