Thomas Tookey registered his first mark on 30^th October 1773 as a spoon-maker.  He went on to register additional marks up to 1780.  Both of these pairs of tongs are typical for the period, dated at c1780.  The two maker’s marks are different from each other but this is entirely possible as he entered several marks.
