This is a pair of cast tongs.  It is quite unusual to see cast tongs dated this late (with the duty mark).  We also do not see very many cast tongs by Thomas Wallis II.  These tongs have a repair, nevertheless are a nice example fo cast tongs with an elaborate engraved monogram to the bow.  They are dated between 1786 & 1790.
