These tongs are superb. It is very rare to see tongs that are bright cut on the inside as well as the outside of the arms. This "extra" engraving gives the tongs a special look that can only be achieved trough this extra engraving. The bowls also have a lovely pattern, interspersed dots and a fan of lines. The pattern on the inside of the arms is the same as that on the outside. These tongs are marked in the bowls and I have ascribed them to William Burch but because the makers mark "WB" is very common, this may not be correct. A very rare pair of tongs and an absolute delight.
