This is another pair of bright cut tongs. The pattern is very even and may well have been engine turned but I can't be sure. These tongs have a squared and concave bow with one of the most elaborate crests I have seen, beautifully engraved. Unfortunately I cannot find the crest in Fairbairn's Crests. Perhaps someone will know what it is? These tongs are in excellent condition.

These tongs are 5.1/2 inches long but still a fairly hefty weight of nearly 40 grams.

They are dated 1803/04.
