Charles Marsh is registered in the Dublin Goldsmith’s books in 1816.  Jackson records a fish slice with his mark dated 1827.  These tongs are absolutely typical Irish fiddle pattern tongs.  Notice that the bow is cut in.  This is a feature of Irish fiddle pattern tongs.  They are fully hallmarked for 1827.
