Richard Mills registered his first mark as a largeworker on 14th July 1755. He registered more marks in 1758 and 1760. He then registered additional marks from his new address in 1765 and 1767. I have tentatively dated all of his tongs at around 1767 although they could be a little earlier or later. Grimwade records some confusion over this maker & his dates, however, the mark is very clearly his. You can also see tongs by Thomas Hannam & Richard Mills, a mark that has some doubt over it.
